We get by with a little help from our friends…

November 2025 could very well be called “The Gospel of Amity”.

We’ve been blessed over the years to have deep community that has shown up for us in times of need. And this month has been next level intense. Big shout out to Bottomless Well for helping us to expand our herd of dairy does! 4 new milkers have arrived on the farm and they are going to be incredible producers after next kidding season. At the tail end of this milk, one of the new girls Sunny, gave 24 oz in one evening.

Then there’s been the yurt. Funded by a generous grant from Sky High Farm.

Building the platform could not have been completed without physical, emotional, and financial support from the friends we call fam. The green hemlock beams for the frame alone needed three people to move.

Joists weren’t so bad. Then there’s flooring. No one tells you how difficult it is to estimate the amount of flooring needed for a circle. I’m telling you now. We got it wrong four times. But then we got it right and had some help in laying the patterns.

We had to take a pause before we finished the platform and had some folks close to us come and support planting over 400 head of garlic. We really weren’t sure that we were going to get garlic overwintered this year and that’s a major crop for us. Two days later, we got our first snowfall to stick. Big shout out to Cosmic Serpent Wellness for this year’s garlic getting planted!
