i really want to add a strong presence to the Black equestrian scene in New England. with the addition of some run - in shelters, and a hydrant, the pasture wants for horses. the youth with whom i’ve worked have expressed interest in horseback and bull riding. i’m becoming my own version of a rancher and rodeo is a part of that legacy. i can see horse trailers parked in our field, ready to caravan to a show down south as a Queer and Black contingent. i might get some leather rainbow chaps…
