Efo shoko (Lagos spinach) has this beautiful red in ki’s leaves. the Buena mulatta pepper (I think) has been strong, and is one of our best seedlings. the quinoa’s bright red stalks started out spindly straining towards the sun but have evened out.

the Tulsi took over a month to germinate. and the kessu and Virginia tobaccos were touch and go for a minute. i’m excited because the Kessu is supposed to have psychoactive properties for ritual use.

plants make me more nervous than animals. maybe because animals seem so much more resilient to human interference and lack of human intervention.

gonna keep investigating perennials.
