three week checkup! molting chicks look absurd.



we’re dealing with some pecking and bald spots so i’m using an ointment that’s mostly aloe, tea tree and calendula. they’re also finally out of pasting range and we just cleaned up a few who might have been on the edge of cloacitis.
Tools needed include:
saline wound wash in a syringe,
warm water and q- tips to soften hardened droppings
iodine (betadine)



raising their water onto blocks has proved somewhat successful in keeping heading out of the dishes. a few of the Doms like to jump ontop of the mason jars and shit in their water so sanitation happens 2-4 times a day.
pops found a recipe for an all-purpose cleaner that’s effective and gentle. and he found this old glass jug in the basement, cleaned it up.
- 1 QT Rubbing Alcohol
- Teaspoon of biodegradable dish soap
- ½ cup of %30 Vinegar
mix with warm water in 1 gallon container.
