i spent May Day weekend doing carpentry in the coop. first up - shutters.

deconstructed pallets sanded and pressure washed with a hand pump sprayer, along with wood that was in the garage when we bought the house, served to make the coop shutters.

used mostly wire nails and found hinges in the barn.

then pops helped with the install!

eye hook closures and they stay open on their own.

shutters installed!
